About

Recruiter, Traveler and Blogger

My name is Dorothy Sliwicki and I’m a Virtual Recruiter and HR Consultant from Toronto, ON who now lives in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I’ve been working in the field for almost 10 years and I really love it.  I have worked in many different industries and helped small, mid-size to large companies. I have experience dealing with unions, compensation, labour relations, benefits and all the great areas of HR. Most recently I was the Manager, Transportation Workforce and one of my responsibilities was to hire all of the really great people who put on the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter games.  The games were a huge success. So clearly I did my job well! ;)

I also really love traveling. Since March 2010 I have traveled around the world staying in hostels, sleeping on friends couches and most recently living in a van while driving around Australia. I have visited 19 + countries so far and can’t wait for my next adventure because this time I’m bringing my dog Pepper with me.
